SORD’s associated school – Laura Stanford Foundation School – was founded in 2008 to offer quality education to the children of the community as well as the orphans and vulnerable children under the care of SORD. Since then, it has done wonders in educating and feeding the children and supporting the organisation’s activities financially in many instances. All lessons at the school are taught in English in an effort to ensure that all children passing through Stanford is comfortable with this international business language.
The school currently has 250 pupils (including 30 orphans – for whom SORD is proving education, welfare, care, food, and shelter) who are educated here. The school fees paid create a steady income which is directed towards the care of the orphans and vulnerable children, upkeep of the orphanage as well as caregiver salaries, and daily expenses of the children.
SORD UGANDA has extensively established another branch of Laura Stanford foundation school kawempe in amolator. Laura Stanford foundation school Amolator is a wonderful project under SORD UGANDA as per current is holding a large number of children and orphans who are co-currently attaining education.
